Nachos

Here's another menu I cooked for my bf's day. Something great to eat while drinking. And instead of buying salsa, you can actually make your own.

Ingredients:

  • ½ clove garlic
  • 1 med size onion
  • 1 Green bell pepper
  • a dash of salt & pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ butter
  • ½ kilo ground beef (lean)
  • ½ kilo fresh tomatoes
  • Cheese (grated)
  • Nacho chips

Preparation:

  • Beef

  1. In a sauce pan, sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper with butter.
  2. Add beef. Season with Worcestershire, salt and pepper.

  • Salsa
  1. Cut the tomatoes in smaller pieces, taking off the seeds. (Don't want to have appendicitis in the long run )
  2. In a sauce pan, sauté onion, garlic, and tomatoes with butter.
  3. Simmer until the tomatoes are soft. Mash.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.

Seafood Casserole

It's my boyfriend's birthday yesterday and he's gotten tired of eating pasta. So I chose something different but still cream based ;P (I love eating creamy food.. =D)

  • ½ clove garlic
  • 1 med size onion
  • ½ butter
  • a dash of salt & pepper
  • Seafood of your choice (I prefer to use shrimp, clams, cream dory)

Preparation:
  • Cream dory:

  1. Season the cream dory with salt & pepper.
  2. Blanch in butter.
  • Shrimp:
  1. Sauté the shrimp with butter.
  • Clams:
  1. In a sauce pot, sauté onion, and garlic with butter.
  2. Add the clams and water.
  3. Simmer.
  • Sauce
  1. Dissolve the cream of mushroom with milk
  2. Using the broth from the clam, add the milk mixture and all purpose cream.
  3. Add the shrimp and cream dory.
  4. Simmer until sauce is thick.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
